Volcano crater trekking tour with the Samluk family April 1st, 2011

The Samluk family visiting us from Chicago, USA. The Samluk came last year for a trekking tour of the volcano canyons. This year they wanted more! So we started of the day with a trekking tour of the crater lake. We had a good work out! Micheal made it first following his wife and doughter. We had a "small" lunch which we think they enjoyed because they didn´t talk much. Just kiding they were ready for the main dish! We have to start working on next 2012 adveture for the Samluk family. Alejandra y Cesar visitandonos de Zapopan, Jalisco.
En el recorrido realizamos senderismo por la parte norte del Estado de Colima con vistas de varias fumarolas que nos dio el volcán, asi mismo Cesar se hizo un master en la utilización de los bastones, conocidos en ingles como trekking poles. Este dia pudimos observar, volcanes, laguna, degustacion de café, degustación de agua de zarzamora y visita a un plantío de alcatraces.

The timming on this tours was superb. Eruption while explaning the type of volcanoes, STRATOVOLCANOES that is! Good Coffee, great tour and nice people!

Colima Fire Volcano Tour with trekking

Michael & Betty Samluk from Chicago, visiting Colima for their second time. This time they decided to explore a little more inland and went for the Volcano tour with trekking.  We were able to see the volcano erupting a couple of times during the tour.

Here we were able to see some lava & rocks coming down in the South-west flank.

This was George´s first time to Colima, he took some photos to convince his friends to come over and enjoy all the activities of Comala!
